Frau und Natur
a tribute to Susanne Griffins
"Woman and Nature: the roaring inside her"
“He calls her fertile. He calls the earth fertile. He plants his seed. He takes his crop. He owns her.”
„He says he will tame her. Make her submit. In her wildness, she is dangerous, like nature. She must be cultivated. She must be ruled over.”
“Her body is rounder than he likes. Her breasts are larger. Her belly swells. He imagines cutting into her, shaping her body. "
“The cycles of the earth, the moon, and the body are denied. What is natural is called primitive. What is primitive is called dangerous. And so the world is reordered.”
His earth is not a woman. His earth is a pliant tool for his desires. He makes her submit. He plows her fields and takes her fruit, but never does he thank her.”
"It is recordet that woman's generative organs exercise a strange power over her heart, her mind and her soul. That women is what she is in charakter, charm, mind, body and soul because of her womb alone. That women is a natal mechanism"
“The animals are woman. She is an animal. She is not a goddess. She is the flesh of the earth, not removed from it. She is the earth. But they have taught her to forget.”
